The new industrial relations laws are being found to allow employers 
()not only small ones) to sack staff and offer them re-employment on 
contract with reduced pay and conditions.  Business spokesmen justify 
it on the basis of increased competition (national as well as 
international race to the bottom, unleashed by neoliberal government
