- another challenge to the<BR>Government's controversial WorkChoice laws. The
case of a young soccer<BR>international trying to kick-start a career in the
coal industry, who<BR>found herself out in the cold because she wouldn't sign an
individual<BR>contract that allowed her boss to fine her $200 if she took a day
off<BR>sick without at least 12 hours' prior warning. Prime Minister
John<BR>Howard recently labelled opposition to his AWAs as a "dagger at
the<BR>throat" of the country's resource sector. But the relevant union
says<BR>it's collective deals that have driven productivity on
Australia's<BR>coalfields and they've seized on the case of young Lorissa
