corner Havelock St and Parliament Place, West Perth.

Hear from local scientists who are having a global impact on science about
the state of our science in Western Australia at this free public forum.

Introduced by Western Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Bruce Hobbs, the
evening will feature the following:

1. Associate Professor Una Ryan (parisitologist), Biochemistry at Murdoch
University, appearing as part of the Australian Academy of Science National
Speakers Programme.
2. Sean Geoghegan, Australasian College of Physical Scientists and
Engineers in Medicine
3. Premier's Research Fellow, Professor Julian Gale, a computational chemist,
4. Professor Charitha Pattiaratchi, Australian Marine Science Association
5. Professor Barry Marshall, Australian Society for Microbiology
6. a speaker from the Australian Institute of Physics
7. Dr Alex Bevan, President Royal Society of WA, WA Museum
