Dear Members

Below are details of the Community and Family Day that has been
organised for this weekend with construction workers who had been
working on the Perth-Mandurah railway line who will face court on August
29 over charges brought against them under the Building and Construction
Industry Improvement Act. It is clear these workers will not be the last
as there are now 40 metalworkers from Pinjarra facing $28,600 fines
under the BCII as a consequence of a stop work meeting that ran 15
minutes overtime.
