Interesting article at
http://www.thefutureofwork.net/blog/archives/000122.html#more by Charlie
Grantham describes some of the work of Richard Florida, author of "The Rise
of the Creative Class", which indicates a net flow of creative people out
of the USA. Professor Florida's central argument is that the United
States, once a global attractor of talent, is losing that position. And he
points out the clear correlation between creativity and competitiveness. In
short, if the United States doesn't do something to reverse this "brain
drain" it is currently experiencing, it stands a very good chance of losing
its competitive edge in the global economy.
